Oh, we have two perfect for that!

*She shows Juudai over to where some plants are set up-- half of them look a bit. Morbid, is the word for them. Dark and slightly dreary, though not all that bad when looking at it objectively. While the others seem a bit blank-- no real details to the flower. In fact, you have to half-wonder if there's even a color to it-- it's like you'd swear there's a word for it, but your head isn't grasping it*

The Flos Incubus and Flos Vanus. Or, in more basic terms, the Nightmare Flower and the Flower of Emptiness.

The Flos Incubus grows by absorbing one's nightmares at night, though it is generally suggested to, disappointingly, dispose of the flower after a few weeks in order to avoid over-growth, especially depending upon the individual.

The Flos Vanus is much more simple to care for, as it only grows from anxieties, and generally, it's color and appearance grows to match the individuals traits, instead. It is generally safe, especially compared to the Flos Incubus, and is able to last much longer.

*Juudai looks over the flowers, noting their apperance as clone Suguru talks about them*

Can you tell me if there are any side effects from using either plant?

*Juudai looks like a pretty happy and out-going guy, you have to wonder why he's asking about these plants in-particular*

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
*She does find it pretty odd, yeah. Juudai's such a happy sort! Maybe it's for a friend...? That would make sense to her, but...*

Well, there is a basic feeling of euphoria from using Flos Vanus at first, though the feeling does ease after a while as the mind gets used to the anxieties having a secondary route.

There is a small chance of the Flos Incubus overgrowing too quickly due to one's nightmares, based on intensity, and can become somewhat resistant to attempts to dispose of it. Though it doesn't achieve any state where it's dangerous. Both, of course, have any basic risk of allergies from those who are not easily able to tolerate plants.

There's some other, extremely rare side-effects, but the general chances of those happening are a one in a million occurrence.

What are the extremely rare side-effects, if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... Since these plants were created as a result of Psychic testing, there have been rare chances of a plant gaining a form of sentience, and resistance to attempts to damage it. It tends to be very bewildering when that happens, though none of them have been shown to hold hostile intent.

The Flos Vanus has shown this trait, while the Flos Incubus has yet to have a documented case of it-- mostly since anyone tends to use fire generously upon it, before it could ever reach a stage where it's possible.

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. So it's possible for the plants to kind of gain a mind and form of their own? And if that was to happen, would that sentience be related to, or show signs of, the anxiety or nightmares that it absorbed?

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
*She nods*

In a way. It, of course, all varies upon what might have been the mental source of the problems. *thinks for a moment*

Say, if a girl who felt they needed to act like a boy due to influences by their family, and felt anxiety from that, got the Flos Vanus, the flower would grow to show their more feminine traits as a way to express and release that anxiety.

*Juudai gradually smiles at the clone Suguru, it's a soft but knowing smile*

And that's how you appeared, right?

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
*... she looks down somewhat, as though ashamed.*

Yes. I'm a bit of a one in a million chance.

Re: Event

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
*Juudai puts a reassuring hand on her shoulder*

Don't look sad. Being a one in a million chance is quite special.

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
*She smiles a bit at the hand, nodding*

Aah, still. This isn't about me, if you're curious about these plants...

Re: Event

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be honest with you, I'm only here checking out the place since there's been a few incidents with the products from here and because of it I've notice some distrust amongst various people towards the store.
I'm also investigating the appearance of monsters in the city lately, like the clown that attacked you the other day.

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
*Her mouth makes a bit of an "Oooh" motion. Okay, that makes more sense.*

Well, I guess distrust is expected. We are an odd store, and it doesn't help that some things go astray. Doesn't help that some people also tend to not listen to our warnings or instructions...

*She sighs.*

I don't know where that clown came from, though. They... Disturbed me, acting like that girl. I am thankful at least that Samasu, Suguru was able to take care of it.

Re: Event

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
*Juudai nods*

It makes sense. Unfortunately sometimes people don't listen... or will happily abuse an item, despite warnings.

As for that clown... Suguru told me that as it was destroyed, energy shot off it and headed towards this area of town. I'm mostly checking this store out by default really. Seeing if there's any product you carry that could let a person either accidently or purposely create something like that.
That and the fact that it attacked both you and Suguru and that it's personality related to someone Suguru knew...

...what do you know about this "Fiancée" of Suguru's?

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
There isn't anything that we have that could have created it... All I knew about them was that they were very obsessive. Very blind, too, in a metaphorical sense.

... Also they seemed completely incapable of listening. *She seems a bit sour at that. She doesn't like people who don't listen.*

Re: Event

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I see... *Juudai scratches his head* ... looks like I've hit a dead end again.

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
*She bows her head in apology*

I'm sorry. I wish I could help here, but the entire situation is fairly odd, even to me. Most of the trouble though from this store seems to come from those who are the most stubborn or oblivious, to me.

*... is there a slight edge to her voice there.* And also the those who wish to flaunt themselves, but I guess that's something else entirely.

Re: Event

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
*Juudai smiles at her*

It's okay! If anything it's been nice talking to you, er... *Juudai breaks off before continuing* ... do you prefer to be called "Suguru" or do you go by another name?

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
I... I like to be called Suguru, yes. It's why I refer to Samasu, Suguru by their full name, if you don't mind.

Re: Event

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, that's no problem!
It was nice talking with you, Suguru!

Re: Event

[identity profile] gently-pricking.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
*smile* It was nice speaking to you, too.

Re: Event

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Haa, I best be going! But if you have anymore trouble with monsters bothering you or notice anything generally odd, let me know!

I will, yes!

*She nods, bowing slightly, before going about to tending the plants.*
