Hrm, might I be able to request the assistance of some here? I have a few jobs both on world and off world that I'd need some help with.

::It's a rather nice spring and the shop has updated for the spring season. Though in the center aisle as usual is that large, creepy mirror that reflects weird stuff. Though perhaps you need some spring clothes, or perhaps spring Haiku, or prepare for graduation ceremonies at normal schools.

There is also of course the green house manned by my lovely assistant.::

It depends on how informed I would be of the magical object you'd be using on me, sir.

Well...I guess if you must know. I'm doing just a quick routine look-around. Just making sure you guys aren't selling parts to "magical doomsday machines", to quote the main branch, as part of my work with the Special Investigations Department.

[He rolls his eyes. It's pretty clear how he feels about his part in all that, as well as the way the order was given.]

I trust you guys well enough, I've bought no shortage of products here, but my superiors want me to make sure kids aren't running amok with magical dimension-altering spellbooks or "how to build your own 12 Dimension Portal" start-up set, because they don't really understand the first thing about how all this stuff works, they're just paper pushers and central-office detectives, most of them give the more magical subculture as wide a berth as possible.

Simply put, they're paranoid, and I have to put up with them.

Well, situations like that are why we've separated our stock, and only allow those with authorization or licenses to handle such items to peruse such a stock, so...

After all, we don't want people to think we're trying to do anything bad.

No, yeah, that's totally understandable, and I appreciate it. I don't usually get much direction from the central office, but when I do, they're pretty adamant, know what I mean? Most of these guys would've swore that magic was bunk about ten years ago.

...Though I suppose it does give me a good chance to look at anything I may want to pick up down the line. I've always enjoyed the stuff I've gotten from this place.

They potentially become more what the mirror shows. Staring into the abyss, and what not. Stripping the layers, but it's not required.

That is being sold at auction in a rather quaint city with rather lovely aquaducts.

Yes. Fortunately the vast number of people, their outsides and insides aren't that vastly different. However the mirror is an object I'm very fond of.
